Hi! I’m Leon, a nature and wildlife photographer based on Hawai‘i Island.

Photography has always been a part of my life, but in recent years, it has become something much more. It has become a way of seeing, connecting, and telling stories. Although I didn’t grow up in Hawai‘i, moving here has deepened my appreciation for the natural world in ways I never expected. The island’s diverse landscapes, vibrant wildlife, and ever-changing light continue to inspire me to slow down, observe, and capture moments that often go unnoticed.

In 2022, I decided to take my passion more seriously and purchased my first camera, the Sony ZV-E10. That decision marked the beginning of a committed journey into the art of photography. Since then, I’ve spent countless hours learning and growing in my craft. From understanding the technical aspects of my gear to exploring the creative possibilities of light, timing, and composition, every photo has been a chance to evolve.

I recently upgraded to the Sony A7CR, which allows me to capture an even greater level of detail and depth in my images. Whether I’m documenting a native bird in flight, the textures of a lava field, or the golden light of sunrise, I strive to create photographs that evoke emotion and invite the viewer into the moment.

My goal is not only to create beautiful images but also to tell visual stories that reflect the wonder of the natural world. I enjoy turning my favorite photographs into unique art pieces that bring the beauty of nature into people’s homes.
